И тои веснѣ [6897] бысть моръ великъ во Пьсковѣ, а знамение железою^[1]

И тъи веснѣ ѣздилъ владыка Иванъ въ Пьсковь, и молитвою его преста моръ въ Пьсковѣ; и прииха владыка Иванъ в Новъгород, а вси около его здравѣ. And in that spring 1389 there was a great plague in Pskov, the symptoms being the cerebral oedema/swelling/blisters^[2]. Vladyka Ivan went in the same spring to Pleskov, and through his prayers the plague ceased in Pskov, and Vladyka Ivan returned to Novgorod, and all those with him, in good health.
