Text translationEnglish translation of the text
The same year [6868] there was a great plague in Pleskov, and the men of Pleskov sent envoys to the Vladyka with prayer and beating of the forehead, that, having come, thou mightest bless us, thy children. And the Vladyka went and blessed them; and went round the town of Pskov with crosses and performed three liturgies and returned to Novgorod; and thenceforward the men of Pleskov were better deserving of God's mercy, and the plague ceased.
