Text translationEnglish translation of the text

In the same year (1346) the punishment from God was [sent] on the people of the eastern part, on Old Urgench[1] and Khaztorokan[2], and on Sarai[3], and on Bezdezh[4], and on other cities in their parts. There was a strong plague among the Muslims, and the Tartars, and the Armenians, and the Jews, and the Franks/ Latins, and the Abkhazians/Georgians, and among all those living there, so that there was no one to bury them. For as God punished the Egyptians, so also He punished tchem.
